Hooghoudt Vieux
A Dutch vieux with French roots: two wine distillates from the Cognac region, complemented by pure eau-de-vie. Round and smooth, for drinking neat with coffee or with cola and lots of ice.

Vieux: cognac's Dutch cousin
Vieux is a Dutch brandy that gets its flavor from wine distillate. Hooghoudt makes its Vieux with two wine distillates from the Cognac region and adds pure eau-de-vie; the distillery itself calls this the secret ingredient. The result is a round, smooth drink finished in Groningen.
Vieux is not cognac: cognac has stricter rules regarding origin and aging, as well as a higher alcohol content. Hooghoudt Vieux contains 35% alcohol, making it milder and easier to mix. It is the bottle for a little vieux with coffee or a vieux cola at a party.
