About ready-to-drink →Rum, bubbles and fruit
Breezer is a ready-to-drink mixed drink by Bacardí. Each bottle contains Bacardí rum with carbonated water and a fruit flavor. The drink was launched in 1993, first in Great Britain. In the Netherlands, it is usually simply called "a Breezer".
The classic Breezers come in 27.5 cl bottles and contain 4% alcohol, about the same as a light beer. Besides the familiar Lime and Orange, there are tropical flavors such as Passionfruit Mango, Sweet Pineapple and Watermelon. Breezer also makes 25 cl cans: a hard seltzer and a hard iced tea, both with 4% alcohol and, according to the maker, 58 calories per can.

Breezer pack 10 x 27.5 cl
Two bottles each of Lime, Orange, Passionfruit Mango, Watermelon and Sweet Pineapple.
Sweet, fruity and lightly sparkling
Sparkling lemonade
Lime and Orange taste like a refreshing sparkling lemonade. You can barely taste the rum.
Sweet fruit
Passion fruit, mango, pineapple and watermelon: sweeter and fuller, like a holiday drink.
Lighter and drier
The seltzer is sparkling water with a hint of fruit, while the iced tea is a fruity iced tea. Both are less sweet than the bottles.
Flavor profile of a classic Breezer at 4%. The hard seltzer scores lower on sweetness; the hard iced tea has few bubbles.
Three ways to drink Breezer
Breezer is made to be drunk this way. The only thing that really matters: ice-cold. In a glass with ice, it stays refreshing for longer.
In a long drink glass with ice
Fill a long drink glass with ice cubes and pour the bottle over them. A lime wedge with the Lime or an orange slice with the Orange completes it.
Ice-cold from the bottle
This is how Breezer was originally intended to be enjoyed: straight from the fridge or cool box. Chill the bottles a few hours in advance.
As a quick punch
Put a few bottles of Passionfruit Mango and Sweet Pineapple in a pitcher with ice and pieces of fresh fruit. In just a few minutes, you'll have a tropical punch for a group.
