Bormioli Rocco Colosseo

Colosseo stands for durability: sturdy glass with a classic design that never goes out of style. Compare it with the tempered glassware from Duralex for similarly indestructible durability. Use Colosseo for water, soft drinks, and wine with meals. Also check out the water glasses and glass sets to complete your cupboard. Bormioli Rocco has been making glass in Parma for two centuries - Colosseo carries on that tradition, and it is dishwasher-safe too.

Colosseo translates Roman solidity into tableware: glass with weight, classic lines, and the presence of something that has always been there. On a wooden table with honest food, it strikes exactly the right tone - not a design statement, but a presence. Some glasses decorate the table; these support it. Families with growing children, busy kitchens, and full dishwashers need glassware that can take a beating - and durability is literally the theme of this series. The sturdy walls and stable base survive what would prove fatal to more elegant counterparts. If one does break, the Bormioli price makes the loss bearable and the easy availability of replacements makes recovery simple.

The classic design language of Colosseo rhymes with everything honest and timeless: earthenware, wood, linen, inherited tableware. Pair it with a sturdy carafe and the table takes on that Mediterranean family feeling that requires no styling. Two centuries of Parma craftsmanship do the rest. The Colosseum has stood for nearly two thousand years — and that building philosophy of sturdiness over frills is exactly what this series strives for. Glasses like small monuments: made to last, beautiful in their simplicity, and used every day.
