Bormioli Rocco Snifter

The rounded bowl with a narrow opening concentrates aromas - which is why snifters are the standard for cognac and craft beer tastings. Compare with the cognac glasses for more balloon-shaped models. Craft beer enthusiasts use the snifter for strong beers: the aromas of an imperial stout are beautifully released in it. Also see the specialty beer glasses.

Bormioli Rocco makes the snifter dishwasher-safe and sturdy - aroma work without fuss. The technique is simple but precise: pour a modest amount - 3 to 5 cl of spirits or 15 cl of strong beer - swirl gently and let the narrow opening guide the aromas to your nose. Warm cognac only with the palm of your hand beneath the bowl. Haste is the only mistake you can make; the snifter is built for patience.

Beer lovers rediscovered the snifter for the heavy stuff: barrel-aged stouts, barley wines, and quadrupels reveal aromas in the rounded bowl that would be lost in a straight glass. American craft bars made the style standard for anything above eight percent. Pair with the specialty beer glasses for the complete tasting collection. Few glasses bridge two drinking cultures so elegantly: the same snifter serves cognac on Friday and an imperial stout on Saturday. For small cabinets and broad tastes, it is the ideal dual-purpose option - one set covers the entire aroma range. The Bormioli price makes entry affordable; its versatility makes it a lasting choice.
