Onis York

York doesn’t stand out - and that is precisely its strength. Compare it with the water glasses and tumbler glasses. Water, soft drinks, beer or after-dinner drinks: York fits right in everywhere. Onis makes York strong and dishwasher-safe. York doesn’t stand out - and that is precisely the achievement: a range so natural that it works on every table without ever asking why. That British understatement is the most difficult design challenge there is; standing out is easy, getting it right takes craftsmanship. Anyone looking for a range that is never questioned can stop searching here.

Water, soft drinks, beer and aperitifs: York handles the full range of household drinks without ever missing a beat. Compare it with the tumbler glasses category — York stands out by not standing out at all, and in practice, that proves worth its weight in gold. As the final piece in the cities series, York gets the full Onistreatment: strong glass, dishwasher-safe and built to serve for years. British in spirit, Leerdam in construction — the combination that simply works every day. The series ends as it should: reliably.

York is supplied as a set and can easily be reordered later - the obvious choice therefore remains naturally available. York is also the ideal secondary range: its neutral shapes complement any existing cupboard without clashing. If you are unsure what is still missing, order a set of York and you are guaranteed to have something useful - the glass that fits in everywhere is never a bad purchase.
